How yuh duh? A warm Jamaican Welcome to Sweet Jamaican Tings!

 It’s time to turn to the other major religious season, (for most Westerners anyway, and that is... Easter! Easter Bunnies and Easter eggs are all very well, but for a Jamaican, no Easter Season, whether in Jamaica or elsewhere, is complete without a traditional Jamaican Easter Bun, with cheese (preferably cheddar, or even cream cheese!). While we can’t help with the cheese, we can more than help with the bun and SJT Easter Buns are now available! Please check the Seasonal Menu box at left, for details and do send in your order!

 Hmmm…what else is going on?  This week SJT is supporting the Hearts for Japan Silent Auction & Dinner at the Pink Cow in Shibuya tonight. The event is a fundraising venture in aid of our friends in the disaster-hit Tohoku region. SJT has donated a Jamaican Rum Cake as a prize to the effort and you can go to the dinner tonight and place a bid for the cake and the other great prizes on offer, and support a worthy cause! It’s short notice but if you are in the area why not pass by?  Check the event’s Facebook page for details.
